The lower school at Garland Christian Academy strives to educate students in grades one through five and instruct them in the knowledge and understanding of God’s Word. Because children are continually searching for understanding and meaning, it is vital that we assist parents with the task of directing that search toward the eternal principles of God’s Word and the world.
To that purpose, our faculty teaches the foundational principles of reading, writing, mathematics, science, and history using the Abeka curriculum as well as resources from Bob Jones University Press and ACSI. GCA aims to provide students with a firm foundation that will allow them to continue growing academically and spiritually in the future.
Students are taught in self-contained classrooms where instruction in the primary disciplines is enriched with art, music, computer, and physical education. Additionally, Bible classes and chapel serve to reinforce and complement the daily emphasis on biblical truth in the curriculum.
